Here in Norway it is almost certain that kids go to kindergarten at one point in their early life. The society have made it that way. I am sure that the kids enjoy it there, but isn't it a bit funny that the kids spend more time in there than with te parents? Or if you hire a nanny full time, they spend more time with your kid than you are? How is it where you are from? I would love to have the chance to be more at home with my daughter. (dont worry, she hasn't startet in kindergarten yet ;).
How is the maternity leave where you come from? In Norway women have 15 weeks, the partner have 15 weeks and a shared period of 16 weeks, where you can choose who takes it (most often the mother). I wish it was longer.
